Hands-On Fiber Optic Communications
1 Day Workshop
|
Who Should Attend ? This course provides the hands-on experience and knowledge necessary to understand installation and testing of fiber optics communications systems. It (1) demystifies the technology, (2)shows the real amounts of labor, and (3) allows the student to evaluate mechanical versus fusion splicing. Each student receives a copy of W and J PARTNERSHIP Testing Guidelines and then "installs" and tests an actual circuit. Managers learn how to manage and budget; designers learn practical steps to success; technicians, vendors and installers learn what to do and how to do it - once, right. |

Leader |
Bill Morgan has planned and managed the installation and testing of fiber optic communications systems since before 1972. He designs building, metropolitan and long-haul fiber optics systems for corporations, telephone companies, government users, and even vendors. He was the first non-vendor consultant to be certified by AT&T to engineer Systimax (tm) PDS. He is a member of Optical Society of America, SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering, and the IEEE. His approach to fiber optics is very practical and understandable. |
